EVENT ADVISORY: Carbajal to Host Tax Season Informational Workshop

Wednesday March 20th, Rep. Salud Carbajal (CA-24) will host a tax season informational workshop with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) representatives to discuss 2019 tax planning. Topics covered in the session will include:

  • Overview of Tax Law Changes
  • Volunteer Tax Assistance
  • Refunds and What-to-do-if-you-Owe
  • Security Awareness for Taxpayers

“Tax season, and the paperwork that comes with it, can mean added stress for a busy household,” said Rep. Carbajal. “I’m hosting this workshop to cut through some red tape and bring IRS resources directly to Central Coast taxpayers. Last year, House Republicans passed a tax plan that can mean new changes in how you file taxes this year. In Congress, I will continue to work on behalf of all taxpayers to lower the tax burdens on working and middle class families.”
