Each year, Congressman Salud Carbajal honors outstanding Women of the Year from California’s 24th Congressional District who have made meaningful and lasting contributions to their communities.
Members of the community are invited to submit nominations for women who have gone above and beyond to strengthen, serve, and improve life in the 24th District. Please note: nominees may not be family members and current elected officials are not eligible for nomination.
Nominations should focus on the specific actions, service, and leadership that demonstrate how this woman has positively impacted the community. Rather than listing accomplishments alone, nominations should tell the story of how her work paid or voluntary has made a difference in the lives of members of her community.
Consider including:
- Her background and what led her to serve or support the community
- The programs, initiatives, or causes she has contributed to or led
- Challenges or obstacles she has overcome in her efforts
- The lasting impact of her work on individuals, families, or neighborhoods within the 24th District
Each nomination must be a minimum of 250 characters. The nomination form typically takes 15–20 minutes to complete.
