The U.S. House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure announced in March 2021 that the Committee will accept requests for Member Designated Projects to be considered for inclusion in the upcoming surface transportation reauthorization legislation under a reformed process that includes new transparency measures.

Note: The Transportation and Infrastructure Committee's process for considering member projects is separate and distinct from the Appropriations Committee's process for considering Community Project Funding requests. Projects funded through the surface transportation authorization will be funded through the Highway Trust Fund and do not require a separate appropriation.
