FY 2020 Appropriations and NDAA Requests

To submit an appropriations request, please email your requests directly to the staffer who handles the relevant legislative issue area. If you are unsure who to contact, please call the office at (202) 225 - 3601. For National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) requests, please use this form

To the extent possible, please provide detailed information regarding the location of your request in the Subcommittee bill or report, down to the activity, or account level, if applicable. We also ask that you include all prompted relevant information regarding prior year Appropriations requests as this is extremely helpful context and background for the Member.

Submission of your request does not create a binding commitment on any party nor a guarantee that any organization or program will be awarded funding from any federal agency through the appropriation process. Furthermore, the submission, review, and approval of applications for federal funding will be carried out consistent with federal agency rules and regulations. This request may be made publicly available.

The rules of the House of Representatives prohibits Representatives from requesting earmarks. Congressional earmarks are defined in House Rule XXI:

“[T]he term “congressional earmark” means a provision or report language included primarily at the request of a Member, Delegate, Resident Commissioner, or Senator providing, authorizing or recommend a specific amount of discretionary budget authority, credit authority, or other spending authority for a contract, loan, loan guarantee, grant, loan authority, or other expenditure with or to an entity, or targeted to a specific State, locality or Congressional district, other than through a statutory or administrative formula-driven or competitive award process.”
