Free At-Home Tests
You can now order four free at-home tests per household at CovidTests.gov. Orders are expected to ship within 7-12 days.
In-Person Testing Information
Do not go to the emergency room for COVID-19 testing. Hospitals are needed for those with severe COVID-19 symptoms and other illnesses. Testing is available at free community testing sites and from other providers. Contact your primary care provider, your county's Covid-19 resources or find state-wide testing options near you. For assistance registering, call 888-634-1123.
Santa Barbara County offers PCR testing by appointment only and should be contacted to determine testing availability.
San Luis Obispo County offers testing at four locations throughout the county. Appointments are strongly encouraged due to increased demand for testing. Walk-ins will be accepted as availability allows but are not guaranteed.
Ventura County has two no cost COVID-19 PCR testing sites available for residents with results provided in less than 48 hours.
